Week 11/52

Au revoir l'hiver, Vive les printemps !

We bid adieu to winter and welcomed spring by symbolicly burning the 'Bonhomme l'hiver'

Week 10/52

I have been positively baking and cooking up a storm. In the midst of my baking frenzy the goodies featured on my makeshift but highly clever four tier display below were obtained. It is a gigantesque and epic effort on my part as I find it time consuming and difficult to have an uninterrupted transgression of time to devote to baking. Although my baking efforts are far and few between I am proud of myself and my achievements... It is not without a hard won battle over inertia, laziness coupled with impediment and hindrances due largely to pestering kids. (firmly with my tongue in cheek in case there is any doubt)

My vision of high tea complete with a stand/four tier display with strawberry friands and fruits. On the right is My version of crack pie (trade-marked by Momofuku) which I do not find all that appealing tastewise as it is cloyingly sweet.






Waiting for spring


The superbe artistic flair and creativity of the Year 6 primary classes in the local schools amounted to the fantabulous display of flying objects.


The photographs of Week 10 are a culmination of my personal endeavours as well as those of school children.

Waiting impatiently for spring to settle the score with the biting cold frost of winter.

Project 52 lament

My lamentable Project 52 sadly still has not even got off the ground yet. I am feeling a bit uninspired, lazy and unmotivated.

I do hope to start next week. I thought that the weight and burden of Project 52 was manageable. It is and isn't at the same time.

Anyway I should just shoot a few photos, upload and post...what can be so damn difficult about that? Now if I can find a camera that can shoot, upload and post photos that I tell it to all by itself...ha I can dream

Tentative project

My ambition or intention is to create a Project 52

I thought that I did not possess the patience and could not carry out the task of posting a photo a day as stipulated by Project 365.

I have opted for a slightly less ambitious and personalised goal of posting each week a photo or several or series of (depends on what gets me inspired) and a short anecdote or story or lesson or whatever strikes my fancy.

I am already late and will have to motivate myself. I have missed the first month of January. I propose to catch up with February which will be a more realistic step.

SO to me and my personalised 52 week Project which I will start off with week 5.

Interesting concept

I doubt I have the patience to upkeep this but I would like to attempt Project 365 which interests me as I have been wanting to keep a photojournal of my daily existence which invariably involves mainly my kids and sometime other hobbies or projects of mine.

I do intend to at least take some photographic souvenirs in order to maintain some shred of a family lineage or journal so that my kids will be able to look back upon their own childhood and hopefully read some insights into their mum as a woman of substance and not just a no-brainer homemaker/housekeeper/maid/babysitter. I long for relevance...

This should be included in my New Year resolutions.
